What does BMS_w008 mean?

Tesla warning code in the Battery Management System (BMS) module. The Battery Management System (BMS) is reporting that there is a hardware issue with the high voltage interlocking loop (HVIL). If this alert is present, the vehicle may have been in Drive and the contactors did not open. Once the vehicle exits Drive, the alert will become a fault while in support mode, and the vehicle may not be able to support 12V, charge, or re-enter Drive.

Original Description

The Battery Management System (BMS) is reporting that there is a hardware issue with the high voltage interlocking loop (HVIL). If this alert is present, the vehicle may have been in Drive and the contactors did not open. Once the vehicle exits Drive, the alert will become a fault while in support mode, and the vehicle may not be able to support 12V, charge, or re-enter Drive.
