What does EPAS-D040 mean?

Tesla diagnostic code in the EPAS (EPAS) module. The rotor position sensor is implausible. The radius monitors the main motor position angle. The calculated radius of sines and Cosine AMR signal are outside the appliqued borders. This can be caused by the rotor position sensors are defect or a short circuit to the sensor supply voltage of ground (GND).
