What does EPAS-D042 mean?

Tesla diagnostic code in the EPAS (EPAS) module. There is a rotor position error. The deviation between the redundantly calculated angle is too large, and the deviation between the main and diverse motor position angle is too big. Monitoring principle: The difference between the amount of the rotor position angle, which is penalized with the AMR sensor, and the Hall sensors to big. Electric motor standstill - No steering movement is possible.Unintentional steering movement is possible.

Original Description

There is a rotor position error. The deviation between the redundantly calculated angle is too large, and the deviation between the main and diverse motor position angle is too big.
